Hello!
My name is Devin Brandon aka Sissy Boy, and I am a self taught queer artist and proud Bay Area native working in commercial and editorial fashion styling.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, but started pursuing it more seriously in 2017 when I began drawing my illustrations digitally under the name “Sissy Boy”. Though some may find the name odd or even controversial, I wear Sissy Boy as a badge of authenticity- a way of celebrating and honoring the inner child who grew of picking daisies on the outfield during his baseball games.
Around the time of Sissy Boy’s inception I began an illustration series titled “I Still Love You, San Francisco”, my love letter to the city that raised me, which I continue to work on eight years later. Since then I have been featured in art galleries throughout San Francisco and have even taught a workshop on Sissy Boy and Creative Self Expression in Normandy, France.
In 2023 I fell in love with freelance prop and fashion styling and have since been fortunate enough to assist some of the best creatives the Bay Area has to offer. Collaborating with other creatives to make something beautiful is something I find deeply fulfilling, especially since illustrating is quite solitary.
Along with prop and fashion styling, I also have experience assisting on laydowns, flats, and video advertisements. I am looking to expand into film and television styling as well and am always available for travel.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
xoxo,
